Large antique cameo with gorgeous high relief of THREE lovely ladies (perhaps sisters). One is
holding a HARP in her FULL hand, and the second has a FULL hand over her heart. All have laurel wreaths in their hair,
beautiful gowns and romanesque noses. There is a very high relief border from the bottom up both sides to their
shoulders. The setting is 2 1/4 " by 2" and the shell cameo is a full 1 7/8" by 1 3/4". The setting tests
12K GOLD (no markings) and is quite heavy. A bale folds up to wear as a necklace and it has an unusual and rare
locking pin for use as a pendant. Circa 1850 estimated for this fine example of the master carver's work. All ladies are left
facing which makes this even more rare as only 10% of master carvers have been left handed. Very detailed carving and wonderful
colors make these ladies VERY UNUSUAL AND VERY RARE! Excellent Condition.
