This is an exquisite silver necklace with hand carved shell cameos. This
fine piece has ornate filigree in 800 grade silver with a partial gold gilt overlay. This creates a gorgeous multi-color
effect with silver against gold that is sure to dazzle. Each cameo is hand carved out of natural conch shell and brings even
more color contrast to this vintage piece. The centerpiece cameo measures 7/8" x 5/8" and is in a setting 1 3/8" x 1 1/8"
with a very ornate multi-color filgree and a gold wire surrounding the nicely carved lady. The twin upper cameos measure 9/16"
x 7/16" in 1 1/8" x 7/8" matching settings and are also very well done. The piece was made in Italy circa 1930 when the butterfly
motif was very much in vogue. There are 4 butterflies and they are exquisitely fashioned from the gold gilt overlay filigree.
The necklace is 17" long and it is in absolutely mint condition, with no damage or repairs. Masterfully designed, it lays
beautifully on and would make a lovely addition to any collection or your jewelry box. You just have to see this one
